Air Balance Test |
Test measures the pressure through the service port of the brake chamber relative to each brake for both air application and release. During the test, air pressure is applied to the system and the pressure is measured at the Reference Sensor.
See Mode, Test and Vehicle
A Pressure Sensor should be installed at every brake service port to be tested. Insure that all sensors are shown on the main display of the computer.
The test is started by pushing the red mushroom button on the Mini-Tractor or by the sudden movement of the accelerometer.
When the pressure at the Reference Sensor reaches one of the pre-defined measurement points, the time since the air pressure was first applied is recorded at that pressure for the Reference Sensor. At the same time, the pressure is recorded at all other sensors. The Reference Sensor is highlighted to aid recognition.
Click Application or Release buttons, selecting which set of pressures to display.

Figure 25 – Air Balance Test Example
In the example above, sensor #1 is the Reference Sensor indicated with highlight. The left-hand side of the data display shows timing measurements made for the Reference Sensor when it reach the pre-determined pressure points. The numbers shown in the remaining columns are the pressures, in psi or kPa, measured at all the other sensors when the Reference Sensor reached each test point.
